Its been months there wasn't any post of mine and I know you all would really be eager to read what happened to me or so? Don't worry I was all fine just some personal issues, I wasn't able to blog for a while .

But here I am and I have a loads of stuff for you to read on. There been some tremendous news of Iphone and Apple getting all in the market. The gaming world has also very much developed. The hardware wars and what not more things have been happening since I was offline. No I am not going to report the things I missed back to you. I am just going to tell you somethings which other blogs don't tell you. While I was just wandering around the Internet for a while I found some good Fax service providers available on Internet which I was really excited to share with you all. Apple Inc. said “many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs available on the Internet cause irreparable damage to the iPhone’s software, which will likely result in the modified iPhone becoming permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed.”

The Norwegian cracker initially bolted his name for himself eight years ago when he cracked the encryption code on DVDs. And later, he cracked the digital rights management code that prevents iPod users from playing songs purchased from online music stores other than iTunes.

DotAsia Organization Ltd., an organization made up of groups that run domain names for China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and other countries, will operate ''.asia,'' which it sought as a way to unify businesses and other users in the Asia-Pacific region.The organization has said it plans to restrict registrations to those in the region, which includes Australia.

Applications for the older, active trademarks will close on Oct. 30, and all other applications in the so-called ''sunrise'' period will be accepted until Jan. 15. General registrations will come after that, though DotAsia did not specify when.

To discourage automated tools aimed at flooding the system on opening day, DotAsia will scrap the first-come, first-served model during the early registration period. Rather, all applications in a given round will be treated equally, with an auction held when two or more qualified applicants seek the same name.

AMD will soon launch its own quad core desktop chips with 'Phenom' designed name in attempt to compete its very old and the only rival Intel Corp..

It is due launch after the second half of 2007 with the similar architecture of its Barcelona quad core Opteron server processor in mid 2007.AMD entered into the market with its original Opteron server chip in 2003, but the company began to slip back again when Intel launched its quad-core Xeon and dual-core Core 2 duo chips in 2006, pushing both of them on a price war.

AMD's current line of desktop chips ranges from the high-end Athlon 64 FX to the Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64 and entry-level Sempron. On Tuesday, however, Intel held their first public demonstration at the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing and plans to start shipping samples of the 128-bit chip.

Advancements like this might push Intel to newer heights. AMD posted a $611 millon dollar loss in the first quarter, more than twice what analysts were estimating. Much of this loss comes from the overwhelming success of Intel’s Core 2 Duo chips since their release last year. Meanwhile, we are still waiting for AMD’s rebuttal, since they have not released an entirely new chip architecture sine the Athlon 64 X2 in 2005. Their merger with ATI last October may lend a glimmer of hope in the AMD Fusion, a combination CPU and GPU.

If nothing else, Intel’s current market dominance shows how much the hardware wars can drive innovation. Without AMD’s competition, Intel could be tempted to sit back on its haunches and continue producing solid, but ultimately static type of chips. As long as both companies provide the catalyst, we’ll see an explosion of new technologies emerging into the consumer market.

The city wherein people enjoy their walk on the street with their iPods/PDAs/PSPs/cell phones would not be allowed to listen to music while on the street.If they disobey the law they will be imposed a fine of $100 and with some court dates too.

Carl Kruger ,The New York State Senator on behalf of the government announced this new law

on banning the use of iPods/PDAs/video games/cell phones on the streets of NY.

In order to protect the citizens law he also stated that he dosent want to intrude and break the citizens freedom but he obliges by saying that he cant leave the problem of people tune in their small electronic gadgets and zooming straight on to the speeding bus or a moving automobile to get one step closer to death.

Kruger didnt reveal the actual number of deaths and such accidents but said people distracted because of their electronic gadgets have been briskly walking onto the path of death and people screaming "watch out".

Super Bowl site attacked by Trojan Horse.

The official Web site of Dolphin Stadium(the location of this weekend's Super Bowl XLI game)has been infected with a Trojan horse program. The virus seeks to download keystroke-logging software on Windows machines if users visit the site without the latest security updates from Microsoft, security experts warn.

The site still hosts the virus, and it advises people to steer clear of the site for now. The Trojan tries to use two different exploits to break into Windows PCs; one of them was fixed by a patch Microsoft. It is clear that the bad guys are counting on major traffic to the site this weekend.The site is also receiving a large number of visitors, thanks in part to some Super Bowl search terms that prominently link to the site. According Alexa, the stadium site receives about 784,000 hits per week.

If you want to be on a safer side it is preferable to take some time and do the Microsoft Update.

Microsoft always advises consumers to better protect themselves by visiting only "trusted sites." However, this type of attack highlights that even popular consumer sites can harbor serious problems. High-profile Web sites like Dolphin Stadium's should do even a rudimentary security review to thwart this type of attack.

But now, within few hours of this attack the site has been cleaned up.But it is suspected that the same virus may have been seeded into other sites. The main "podcasts" page on the Web site for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention appears to have been infected at some point .The technicians at CDC are checking on the situation. There obviously are multiple sites currently infected with this Trojan, so make sure you're up to date on Microsoft patches.

This attack depends on the user allowing Javascript computer code to run in the browser.

IBM to shell out $1.8million as salary to CEO

International Business Machines Corp.(IBM),whose stock rose 16 percent last year as it expanded in software, said that Chief Executive Samuel Palmisano will be paid a $1.8 million salary in 2007.

He will also receive stock units worth $3 million vesting in 2011, and performance share units worth $7 million, payable in 2010, according to an IBM filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Palmisano, 54, who became CEO in 2002 and has been with IBM since 1973, oversaw a 20 percent increase in net income in 2006 as the company made almost $4 billion in acquisitions to expand in software, its most profitable business.

Sony gives away Blu-Ray Discs for Free!!!

According to a study by market tracking agency Nielsen VideoScan, Blu-ray movie sales have surpassed HD DVD movies sales in the USA because of Sony bundling some PlayStation 3 game machines with a movie and a voucher for another Blu-ray disc. Several hundred of thousands of Blu-ray movies were purchased for free during the PS3 launch. The war for DVD’s successor rages on: Blu-ray offers larger storage space for content while HD DVD drives and discs are easier and cheaper to produce.

The market research report claims that the numbers for the week ending January 7th demonstrate that for every 47.14 HD DVD movies sold, there are 100 Blu-ray movies sold but the actual reports claims that during the following week, ending January 14th, the amount of HD DVDs sold would be 38.36 for every 100 Blu-ray discs sold. This is not breathtaking news if one believes 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, a studio that exclusively supports Blu-ray format.

The Zune music player was supposed to be Microsoft's iPod killer.Maybe Microsoft is trying for an iPhone killer.

Bloggers were agog about reports that Microsoft is planning a Zune phone, which could be ready in time for the 2007 holidays. As per reports, it would be a smart phone that works with the Zune marketplace, and would not run Windows Mobile.

The report also claims the rumored device would be able to sync with the Xbox 360 and stream video from the game player to the phone.

A DNS server translates a human address like google.com into a numerical IP address so your computer can take you to the right site. Usually, this takes a few hundred milliseconds to complete so it's barely noticeable, but over time, these milliseconds can really build up. By using OpenDNS and FastCache, you can speed up your internet connection.

OpenDNS runs a distributed network of DNS servers so using it is more reliable. It filters out bad addresses so phishers and spammers can't direct you to their site. OpenDNS also detects typos in the URLs you enter so entering craigslist.og leads you to craigslist.org. A piece of software called FastCache takes care of the problem of speed. It stores the IP address that is returned by your DNS server so your computer doesn't have to request it every time you want to go to a particular site, saving a few hundred milliseconds each time.

To set it up:

1. Once you install and start FastCache, you configure your computer to use it by Start->Control Panel->Network Connections.
2. Right click on the connection you're using and go to Properties.
3. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
4. Choose "Use the Following DNS server addresses" enter 127.0.0.1 as the primary.
5. Click OK and restart your computer.
6. To configure FastCache to use OpenDNS's servers, enter these IP addresses into it:

Apple showcased its much-anticipated take on the smart phone – a sleek device with a large screen that combines a phone, an iPod and instant messaging. Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO pulled an iPhone from his jeans pocket at the annual Macworld conference in San Francisco and drew a standing ovation at the end of his speech.Lacking the diminutive keypads found on other smart phones, Apple’s iPhone has a single button and a 3.5-inch touch screen to navigate between playing songs and videos, displaying pictures, typing instant messages and even making phone calls.

Steve Jobs also changed the company name from Apple Computer Inc. to just Apple Inc. to better reflect its transition to a full-scale consumer electronics manufacturer and retailer.Most of what Apple Inc sells now is mobile technology, whether it is iPods or notebooks,and even now desktop Macs.

Two versions of the iPhone will be released in the US in June:
1.A 4Gb version priced at $499 (Rs 22,000 approx)
2.A 8Gb version priced at $599 (Rs 26,000).
Sales are expected to start in Europe by the end of this year, and in Asia in 2008.

About the iPhone

The iPhone is 11.6 millimetres (0.5 inches) thick, has five hours of talk-time and 16 hours for playing music. It also includes a 2-megapixel digital camera, as well as a slot for headphones and a SIM card. It runs Apple’s OS X operating system and has the Safari browser for Web access. It can also send and display e-mail and text messages. Apple will soon partner with Yahoo on Web-based e-mail and with Google on maps.
The phone supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology and can also detect location from Global Positioning System satellites. To demonstrate the three-in-one device’s processing muscle, Jobs accessed Google maps satellite imaging and, within seconds, zoomed in on the Washington Monument, then the Eiffel Tower. The phone automatically syncs the user’s media – movies, music, photos – through iTunes on computers running either Mac OS X or Microsoft’s Windows. The device also syncs e-mail, Web bookmarks and any type of digital content stored on a PC.
To make a call, users can tap out the number on an on-screen keypad or scroll through their contacts and dial with a single touch. To zoom in on a photo or Web site, tap twice. To zoom out, tap once with two fingers.

Google and NASA aim for a virtual flight

Web surfers may soon be able to explore the canyons of Mars and could also have a virtual flight over the surface of the moon thanks to a deal announced between Google,National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Ames Research Centre.NASA and Google said they will work together on a wide range of technical problems and will make NASA’s space exploration work more accessible to the public by means of a series of projects.

One project would let viewers see details of Mars and Earth’s moon in a format similar Google Earth.

Eventually,the second project will aim to offer real-time weather visualisation and forecasting, high-resolution 3D maps of the moon and Mars, and real-time tracking of the International Space Station from the screen of any computer with Internet access.

The collaboration marks another step in a partnership announced 15 months ago when Google unveiled plans to build a 1 million-square-foot campus at the NASA center, located a few miles south of the company’s Mountain View headquarters.

YouTube to share revenues with users.

Chad Hurley, Co-founder of YouTube, said on Saturday that the successful site will start sharing revenue with its millions of users.
Hurley, who along with the site’s Co-founders sold YouTube to Google for $1.65 billion in November, said one of the major innovations the site is working on is a way to allow users to be paid for content.

“We are getting an audience large enough where we have an opportunity to support creativity, to foster creativity through sharing revenue with our users,” Hurley said at the World Economic Forum. “So in the coming months, we are going to be opening that up.”
No details of how much users would be paid, or what mechanism would be used are out.So start uploading videos and share with people.

Google reaches the stars

Google has already secured its flag on Earth,Moon and Mars.This time the internet search giant is planning to get the Google flag spread over the Universe.The internet search company has struck a partnership with some scientists to build a huge sky-scanning telescope, to help all the internet surfers to access digital footage of asteroids, supernovas and distant galaxies.

"Frankly, I could see the day when they would be our sort of window to the general public",said Donald Sweeney, manager of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope( LSST), on Friday.

The 8.4-metre LSST is expected to survey the sky from 2013 . Its goal is to continuously scan space, taking a series of 15-second exposures that allow it to cover the sky every three nights.It is also said that the telescope will open a movie-like window on nearby asteroids and far-off exploding stars, and might try to help unveil the mysterious dark energy which is believed to fuel the universe's expansion.

Yet the budget has to be decided but I think is budget wouldn't be a problem for Google.Google spokesman Jon Murchinson said, "I don't think we entered into this partnership with an eye on how weÂd monetise our participation."
