This winter Nintendo Wii carries the show!
Wednesday, November 21, 2007
Kids take their parents from shop to shop to get the best winter gift they can have. But this time Nintendo-Wii has proved to be the most wanted gadget for this winter.Just been a year since its launch Nintendo-Wii proved its stand in the console gaming market despite big competitors like Sony's Playstation3 and Microsoft's XBOX 360.
For those who still don't know about Nintendo Wii,the Wii responds to the user moving the wand-like wireless controllers, while other consoles are controlled by a confusing array of buttons and joysticks making Wii a sure winner for easy and realistic gameplay. It also comes with an array of casual, nonviolent games that appeal to adults. This makes easy for kids to convince their parents to get a console for them.
Despite Sony and Microsoft shedding their price tags, demand for Nintendo hasn't made its prices fall.Nintendo has sold 5.5 million Wiis in the U.S. since Nov 17 last year.Nintendo being very sincere has acknowledged that they can't satisfy the demand this holiday season.Still taking no chances has increase the pace of their production line.
In an interview with Sony's Chief Executive, he said shortage of Wii is a little fortuitous and also indicated Playstation 3 is poised to benefit.

Halo 3 Power Drains all the records.
Thursday, September 27, 2007
Master Chief Reporting Sir: This is not a big shock for the most hyped game,Halo 3 pulled $170m (£84m) in sales in its first 24-hours of invasion of the US. The Microsoft figures show that the game even surpassed the opening day total of the web web movie Spiderman 3.
Compared to Halo 2,( $125 million in 24 hours in 2004), the Halo 3 sales are good but there’s a feeling that they should, and could, have been higher. After all, Xbox consoles are more than these numbers, aren't they?
In the first 24-hours, 1.4 million Halo 3 gamers hit Xbox LIVE for some multiplayer fragging, which is a really good.As Microsoft is banking on Halo 3 being its number one cash cow, driving more Xbox 360 sales and praying really hard that its gaming division will make a good amount of profit after 6 long years.Over and out Sir!!

PS3 prices finally Dropped!
Sunday, July 15, 2007
No no don't rub your eyes hard but Yes its true!!Sony has finally dropped the ever expensive PS3 price tag by 100$.
The Sony Playstation 3 ,for those who don't know!! is a gaming console, based on the Cell processor developed by IBM, Sony and Toshiba, the RSX graphics chip by Nvidia Corp., wireless network and Bluetooth connectivity and is equipped with Blu-ray optical disk drive(specially made for PS3). There are two versions of the PlayStation console available in the USA and Japan: one is equipped with 20GB hard disk drive and priced at $499, another features 60GB hard drive, card reader and some other improvements and is offered for $599.
After battling against Microsoft and Nintento in the 'Console Wars' has finally slashed the price tag by 100$.Now this is a perfect move made by Sony as its very essential for Sony to capture the remaining Console Market as Microsoft's XBox 360 has already gained quite a good amount of popularity after its great grahics output as compared to its predecessor(Xbox).
Nintento's Wii has also been quite popular among kids for its rather unique interactive gaming experience.
Whether its a wise move by Sony or not is still a question?? The sales can only answer this question.
Although Sony has manage to sell 1 million consoles in European Region ,making PS3 the quickest selling console amongst its Predecessors(PS one and PS2)
