The World lives on

Your Ad Here

Its been months there wasn't any post of mine and I know you all would really be eager to read what happened to me or so? Don't worry I was all fine just some personal issues, I wasn't able to blog for a while .

But here I am and I have a loads of stuff for you to read on. There been some tremendous news of Iphone and Apple getting all in the market. The gaming world has also very much developed. The hardware wars and what not more things have been happening since I was offline. No I am not going to report the things I missed back to you. I am just going to tell you somethings which other blogs don't tell you. While I was just wandering around the Internet for a while I found some good Fax service providers available on Internet which I was really excited to share with you all. All fax services I have seen were dull but some fax softwares were really helpful.

These fax services are not limited particularly but they even provide one service of fax to email which is the coolest option known. While reading all about these fax services I also stumbled upon various document management softwares and websites which not only help to read your documents with ease but also helps you manage them all.

I am back now and will post such more informative stuff soon. So just keep on reading or you might miss a few. My proficiency wouldn't be that good but will try to cope up again.

2007-The year of cyber security breach.

Your Ad Here

As the year comes to an end a hell lot of reports flash around cumulating facts of the passed year. For one of the interesting reports says that 2007 is known to be a year of cybercrimes. As stated by anti-virus Company F-secure, they added 250,000 new database entries this year which combines the addition of last 20 years. This gave the Internet an idea how smart and dangerous cyber criminals can be.

This new breed of hackers don't look for credit card number or passwords or such secure stuff, instead they are creating automated programs which are the same as the old ones just wrapped and refurbished for various purposes in a form of downloads via mail or important stuff.

In the report by F-secure they named a lot of malwares and Trojans and viruses... which affected the year 2007 harshly. Some of the interesting ones were:

Storm Worm-This particular worm began spreading with an e-mail message with subject lines based on actual news of "230 dead as storm batters Europe" ,this coined the worm name Storm. There were in fact dozens of real deaths related to European storms during that time.Further using these headlines its template proved to be a very clever bit of social engineering and was initially very successful. However, later it began to be a failure because of being too common.

But later in the mid of the year the geniuses updated their social engineering tactics. They now targeted U.S. — they used holidays such as Labor Day and later with such sensational news. One of their tricks was the promise of seeing "yourself" in a supposed YouTube video in a message pointing to a fake YouTube site. Now this is brilliant, isn't it?

Banking Trojans-Now as the years have passed hackers are always ready to get their hands in to the banking sections and create some really amendable phishing sites. But as all the banks are now taking precautionary measure to avoid customers getting trapped in the nets of phishing site, now Banking Trojans were created. They had simple functions like being a keylogger, taking videos ,form grabbing, screenshots of private data..

Trojan Password Stealers and online games-These trojans were specifically made to steal passwords of online game accounts whenever accessed. The motive is relatively straight forward ,get the accounts-access them-sell them to gamers at a good price. The trojan name was Trojan-PSW:W32/OnlineGames.

There were more such malwares which also affected the Apple security. These were some which were really interesting and really admirable mind can create such type of programs. For full report on The Cybercriminal Activities in year 2007 visit F-secure.

Adsense Developer says Bye Bye to Google

Your Ad Here

Google Inc's most profitable venture Google Adsense developer left Google to start his own company.
“I’ve been having the itch to do something entrepreneurial for awhile now,” says Rajaram, 33, known by Googlers as one of the “godfathers of AdSense.” “I’m in my early 30s and I have some experience and financial security, so the time felt right.I have some ideas on the consumer Internet side, and I’m still trying to flesh that out in the next few weeks. Right now, I’m just trying to get used to not going to work."Says Rajaram happily after leaving Google on 2 November 2007.

Some bio stats of Gokul Rajaram and Adsense:.

Gokul Rajaram joined Google in January 2003,with Brin and Wojiciki he worked on selling advertising space on publisher's website. After seeing huge profit in Adwords they proceeded with this project. With Adsense creating huge vibrations in the web publishing market and helping blogs and content websites into profitable money making hubs,Google generated whooping $1.45 billion from Adsense (1/3 rd of the total Google Revenue earned).

Rajaram, who left Google on Nov. 2., says he’s also interested in pursuing journalism or writing.

Rajaram also remembers" “The night before we launched, Sergey spent five hours with me testing the system and pointing out bugs."

Whatever venture he pursues, he is blessed with top Google (GOOG) brass Eric Schmidt and Sergey Brin. Product management vice president Susan Wojcicki honored him with a large plaque signed by a few hundred Googlers at his farewell party at the Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif., two weeks ago.He also showed interest in journalism and writing.Maybe he would start a blog and earn from Google Adsense.

This winter Nintendo Wii carries the show!

Your Ad Here

Kids take their parents from shop to shop to get the best winter gift they can have. But this time Nintendo-Wii has proved to be the most wanted gadget for this winter.Just been a year since its launch Nintendo-Wii proved its stand in the console gaming market despite big competitors like Sony's Playstation3 and Microsoft's XBOX 360.

For those who still don't know about Nintendo Wii,the Wii responds to the user moving the wand-like wireless controllers, while other consoles are controlled by a confusing array of buttons and joysticks making Wii a sure winner for easy and realistic gameplay. It also comes with an array of casual, nonviolent games that appeal to adults. This makes easy for kids to convince their parents to get a console for them.

Despite Sony and Microsoft shedding their price tags, demand for Nintendo hasn't made its prices fall.Nintendo has sold 5.5 million Wiis in the U.S. since Nov 17 last year.Nintendo being very sincere has acknowledged that they can't satisfy the demand this holiday season.Still taking no chances has increase the pace of their production line.

In an interview with Sony's Chief Executive, he said shortage of Wii is a little fortuitous and also indicated Playstation 3 is poised to benefit.

Google getting in The Gaming Industry!!

Your Ad Here

Google Inc. recently acquired Adscape, a small startup that delivers dynamic ads for video games, the deal was done for $23 million. Now it seems Google is trying to spread its arms into the multi billionaire gaming industry.

Now heres a background check of Adscape. It is a San Francisco-based startup company officially launched in early 2006 with $3.2 million in funding from Atlanta’s HIG Ventures.

For Google, the real challenge will be to find partners willing to bring Adscape to their online games because adscape never announced any game publishers as customers. But getting advertisers for Google doesn't seem to be a very big issue as,Google can anytime integrate this with its very own successful Adwords.Maybe while I am typing Google might have already thought about more great and striking plans for the immediate full fledged use of Adscape.

For more after this deal read here.

Halo 3 Power Drains all the records.

Your Ad Here

Master Chief Reporting Sir: This is not a big shock for the most hyped game,Halo 3 pulled $170m (£84m) in sales in its first 24-hours of invasion of the US. The Microsoft figures show that the game even surpassed the opening day total of the web web movie Spiderman 3.

Compared to Halo 2,( $125 million in 24 hours in 2004), the Halo 3 sales are good but there’s a feeling that they should, and could, have been higher. After all, Xbox consoles are more than these numbers, aren't they?

In the first 24-hours, 1.4 million Halo 3 gamers hit Xbox LIVE for some multiplayer fragging, which is a really good.As Microsoft is banking on Halo 3 being its number one cash cow, driving more Xbox 360 sales and praying really hard that its gaming division will make a good amount of profit after 6 long years.Over and out Sir!!

Apple warns iPhone users!

Your Ad Here

Apple Inc. said “many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs available on the Internet cause irreparable damage to the iPhone’s software, which will likely result in the modified iPhone becoming permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed.”

Apple also said that it “has discovered” the irreparable damage. Maybe they are just creating some fear amongst those lucky iPhone users who have unlocked their handhelds.

The company also announced that it will release its next iPhone software update later this week. Frankly warning its users that, if your iPhone is set up for automatic updates it will become alarming touchscreen handhled which will keep on warning you or just lock your phone from getting used by the hacks you used to unlock it. Apple’s take:
"Apple strongly discourages users from installing unauthorized unlocking programs on their iPhones. Users who make unauthorized modifications to the software on their iPhone violate their iPhone software license agreement and void their warranty. The permanent inability to use an iPhone due to installing unlocking software is not covered under the iPhone’s warranty."

Making it more simpler to understand,if your iPhone is unlocked you simply are iwashed away by Apple and you be using your old Phone instead of your precious iPhone.

As long as storage is important, storage is the next most important thing.Get it this way,you have a data you want storage, you want some storage, you want some really fast data transfer. And for that those like me who like USB transfers its now fast.Did I just say more fast?
Yes USB 3.0 is on its way to blaze the data transfer methods as fast and convenient as possible. Now as technology and researches are leading us to the big world of Tera bytes why should the small jack remain behind?I still remember transferring my really "useful" data to USB storage device, the data transfer speed was 480 megabytes per second(480 MB/sec).But now after the launch of USB 3.0 the speed will boost to 4.8 gigabytes per second(4.8 GB/sec).No no don't stand on your seats.First come down and wait for it.Its got to come out in later quarter of 2008.

Uff..will have to wait and watch my USB transfer at 480MB/sec and hope the USB 3.0 might cope and prove great for the new data transferring and managing system.

GameJump just 12months old and 14 million Downloads!!

Your Ad Here

Gamejump a website specially dedicated to free online Mobile fun games.Quite a decent website to have fun with.

Gamejump provides free mobile games which are ad supported.Making good for advertisers to provide great advertisement platform with user and advertiser both in great profit.
Just 12 months old this website provides more than 800 games from 70 publishers with genre for everyone to fit in.The website crossed 14 million download mark.Yes a whooping 14million mark.

Gamejump signed a deal with Konami, the publisher of some famous titles. The paid mobile download industry likes to label free game services as delivering inferior quality; the provision of Konami content would seem to suggest that this isn’t the case, and certainly it’s a positive sign that the free ad-supported model of mobile gaming may actually be a winner.

South Park and WoW!??

Your Ad Here

Yea. this post is only for those who love watching South park and have always loved their pranky episodes.

If you liked the ‘Make Love, not Warcraft’ episode, here’s your chance to get addicted to WoW – buy the South Park Season ten box set, you’ll get a free 14-day trial of World of Warcraft.

It’s a pretty smart marketing move from Blizzard in my opinion, since they’ve already reached out to South Park fans via the show. This is their chance to cash in on the South Park fans that enjoyed the WoW episode by getting them hooked onto WoW – more fish for the endless Warcraft ocean, and more green stuff for Blizzard’s bank account!
