Adsense Developer says Bye Bye to Google

Your Ad Here

Google Inc's most profitable venture Google Adsense developer left Google to start his own company.
“I’ve been having the itch to do something entrepreneurial for awhile now,” says Rajaram, 33, known by Googlers as one of the “godfathers of AdSense.” “I’m in my early 30s and I have some experience and financial security, so the time felt right.I have some ideas on the consumer Internet side, and I’m still trying to flesh that out in the next few weeks. Right now, I’m just trying to get used to not going to work."Says Rajaram happily after leaving Google on 2 November 2007.

Some bio stats of Gokul Rajaram and Adsense:.

Gokul Rajaram joined Google in January 2003,with Brin and Wojiciki he worked on selling advertising space on publisher's website. After seeing huge profit in Adwords they proceeded with this project. With Adsense creating huge vibrations in the web publishing market and helping blogs and content websites into profitable money making hubs,Google generated whooping $1.45 billion from Adsense (1/3 rd of the total Google Revenue earned).

Rajaram, who left Google on Nov. 2., says he’s also interested in pursuing journalism or writing.

Rajaram also remembers" “The night before we launched, Sergey spent five hours with me testing the system and pointing out bugs."

Whatever venture he pursues, he is blessed with top Google (GOOG) brass Eric Schmidt and Sergey Brin. Product management vice president Susan Wojcicki honored him with a large plaque signed by a few hundred Googlers at his farewell party at the Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif., two weeks ago.He also showed interest in journalism and writing.Maybe he would start a blog and earn from Google Adsense.

Google getting in The Gaming Industry!!

Your Ad Here

Google Inc. recently acquired Adscape, a small startup that delivers dynamic ads for video games, the deal was done for $23 million. Now it seems Google is trying to spread its arms into the multi billionaire gaming industry.

Now heres a background check of Adscape. It is a San Francisco-based startup company officially launched in early 2006 with $3.2 million in funding from Atlanta’s HIG Ventures.

For Google, the real challenge will be to find partners willing to bring Adscape to their online games because adscape never announced any game publishers as customers. But getting advertisers for Google doesn't seem to be a very big issue as,Google can anytime integrate this with its very own successful Adwords.Maybe while I am typing Google might have already thought about more great and striking plans for the immediate full fledged use of Adscape.

Google to Go Eco-Friendly.

Your Ad Here

Global warming,Dooms Day ,Final Earth Catastrophe ......are some words which really bring goosebumps to anyone when thought about it.

Sure enough we aren't trying out level best to beat it but Google is surely trying it by its own method.

Google is planning to go Eco-Friendly by the end of 2007.Google will run Carbon Neutral Servers by the end of 2007.

These are the three main steps to be taken for going Eco-Friendly:
- reduce energy consumption by maximizing efficiency;
- invest in and use renewable energy sources;
- purchase carbon offsets for the emissions that we can't reduce directly

To give instant heed to the case Google will run carbon offsets. Experiments are going on further to reduce the overall amount of greenhouse gases. When considering an offset project, Google will carefully examine the project's environmental integrity, its ability to be monitored and verified, and the impact that their investment will have in furthering that project's goals. In short Google will make sure the Carbon offsets will not make any loss to their shareholders and will act as a foolproof temporary solution.

Google Adsense announces Referral 2.0 to all Publishers

Your Ad Here

Adsense Blog recently announced AdSense Referrals 2.0 program which will soon be available to all AdSense publishers in referrals-supported languages. You will earn money from AdSense Referrals 2.0 by referring your potential visitors/readers to thousands of products on a CPA (Cost-Per-Action) basis. This means that there is a specific action such as online sales, registrations and signups that your visitors must complete before you generate earnings from referral products.Sounds something interesting.

Here are some key benefits.
Expanded product inventory: While many of you have had success referring one of our Google products, some of you weren't able to find a product that fit the context of your site. Referrals 2.0 offers products from thousands of AdWords advertisers, so you can find the right ads for your sites.

Category and keyword targeting
: With thousands of products available, it can be difficult to decide which ads will perform best on your site. That's why we give you the option to refer products by category and keyword. You can narrow down the types of ads you want to display and let AdSense figure out which ones will perform best on your site. Whether you want ads for a specific category, advertiser, or product, referrals 2.0 will give you the control to decide.

Ad unit optimization: It can be tricky picking the best ads for your site, so we've included ad unit optimization for referrals. When you create a new referral ad unit, simply select the Pick best performing ads option. We'll then compare your selected ads to other relevant ads, and serve the ads we expect to perform best on your site.

Better targeting for pages with multiple themes
: With standard contextual targeting, ads may not match up directly with the text around them if there are a number of themes on the page. With referrals, you can select unique “keywords” for each ad unit to narrow the targeting directly to the theme you want. Better targeting means higher earnings for your site.

Greater compensation for high-quality traffic
: Since referrals are paid on a cost-per-action (CPA) basis, your traffic matters. If the traffic you send to advertisers is more likely to turn into a completed sale or lead, you will earn more with referrals.

Add your seal of approval
: Unlike AdSense for content ads, our program policies allow you to make special preferences referral ads on your site. If you endorse the product that you are referring, feel free to let your users know. By adding your personal review of the products you refer, you can help your users make more informed choices.

Google's new project... A warning for Microsoft.

Your Ad Here

Google's announcement about developing a full office suite for the web, which will act as a online editing a storage medium for spreadsheets and more. This shows that Google is challenging the existence of full-blown applications of Microsoft, creating nearly equivalent web applications that are often just as functional as their standalone counterparts. And simple isn't always bad; one thing that Google has tried to keep fairly consistent is the user interface, which is usually quite user-friendly.

Google Spreadsheets definitely makes it easy to create a chart, and although doesn't have nearly as much capability as Excel's chart-maker, is pretty obviously the winner in terms of ease of use.

One thing that Google Spreadsheets is likely never going to be able to rival is the speed at which a standalone applications can run.

Google reaches the stars

Google has already secured its flag on Earth,Moon and Mars. This time the internet search giant is planning to get the Google flag spread over the Universe. The internet search company has struck a partnership with some scientists to build a
huge sky-scanning telescope, to help all the internet surfers to access digital footage of asteroids, supernovas and distant galaxies.

"“Frankly, I could see the day when they would be our sort of window to the general public",said Donald Sweeney, manager of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope( LSST), on Friday.

The 8.4-metre LSST is expected to survey the sky from 2013 . Its goal is to continuously scan space, taking a series of 15-second exposures that allow it to cover the sky every three nights. It is also said that the telescope will open “a movie-like window” on nearby asteroids and far-off exploding stars, and might try to help unveil the mysterious “dark energy” which is believed to fuel the universe'’s expansion.

Yet the budget has to be decided but I think is budget wouldn't be a problem for Google.Google spokesman Jon Murchinson said, "“I don'’t think we entered into this partnership with an eye on how we’d monetise our participation."
